A Bhaarateeya or Hindu?

Technically Correct - Bhaarateeya

(Not Hindu)

Just observe our Constitutional documents and Government documents correctly depict this phenomenon as BHAARAT(a) ....

This is a geographical representation as well as cultural/ traditional.

Hindu and India are references from the western visitors...

Closer neighbours called as Sindhu region - Hindu. (S is replaced by H in persian language).

INDIES is the land between sea.

Therefore western expeditions named islands, Peninsula and archipelago as Indies.

East Indies (Malaysia, Indonesia, etc.

West Indies - Caribbean islands

Broadly speaking, the region between Eastern Ghats and Western Ghats abutting the sea coastal lines is the PENINSULA that is called as Aaryaavarta.

Madhya Desha is the region between the Saraswati Basin and Drushadwati River...

Madhya Desh = Below Himayala and above Vindhya; with Vinashana (Disappearing point of Saraswati to the west and Prayaga to the East).

कुरुक्षेत्रं च मत्स्याश्च पञ्चालाः शूरसेनयः।

एते ब्रह्मर्षिदेशास्तु ब्रह्मावर्तादनन्तराः॥ आश्व.९२ दा.पा.अ.XV॥

मध्यदेश -

हिमवद्विन्ध्ययोर्मध्यं यत्प्राग्विशसनादपि।

प्रत्यगेव प्रयागात् तु मध्यदेशः प्रकीर्तितः॥ आश्व.९२ दा.पा.अ.XV॥

कृष्णसारस्तु चरति मृगो यत्र स्वभावतः।

स ज्ञेयो याज्ञिको देशो म्लेच्छदेशस्ततः परम्॥ आश्व.९२ दा.पा.अ.XV॥

Some people mention the word Hindu from few minor texts from a collection of minor texts from previous centuries, Some poets have written some poems to this effect to support the name Hindusthan, which is the modern invention.
